The Prince Georges County Young Democrats launched the "Economic Stimulus Tour" in February 2009. Amidst a nationwide recession, many small businesses and restaurants are struggling to stay open. PGCYD is taking action, hosting monthly "tour stops" in every district in the county at local restaurants. Special guests, such as elected officials, join PGCYD on each stop. Designed to stimulate the local economy, the "Stimulus Tour" is an opportunity for residents to come out, talk politics and enjoy their neighbors, while supporting small businesses in need. Many thanks to special guests - like Delegates Justin Ross, Aisha Braveboy and former Delegate Rushern Baker - for their support. Economic Stimulus So Far: More than $4,000 for local restaurants and counting! The "tour stops" are the 4th Thursday of each month. We invite you to join us as we make our way around Prince Georges County this year, stimulating revenue and attention to help local venues.
